'Lucha Underground': Ricky Banderas's Mil Muertes, Oscar Gutierrez's Rey Mysterio Dominate El Rey! [WATCH]
From Emmy award-winning Mark Burnett (Survivor), Lucha Underground presents episode 19 on the El Rey Network. Before Mil Muertes (Ricky Banderas) gets into the wrestling ring, rumors are already flying that Oscar Gutierrez, better known as Rey Mysterio, is joining the series.
Ever since launching his own network, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For filmmaker Robert Rodriguez has entertained audiences with his From Dusk Till Dawn TV series. As we previously mentioned, El Rey rides into lucha libre, the no-holds barred world of freestyle wrestling and high-flying aerial maneuvers. In Mexico's most popular sport, the masked villains and heroes confront against each other in thrilling one-on-one matches.
According to the release, Konnan's Art of War centers on a massive main event between Mil Muertes (Banderas) and his opponent Fenix. Matches also include Aero Star and Drago, who will perform a gut-wrenching performance. Cortez Castro, Mr. Cisco and Big Ryck will also battle it out to the extreme.
As we previously mentioned, Alberto Del Patron made his entrance into Lucha Underground and would love Rey Mysterio to join the team. Business 2 Community reportedly states, "Mysterio hadn't performed for WWE in nearly a year when the saga involving his contract ended, freeing him to return to Mexico."
In an interview with Journey Of A Front Man, Bully Ray confirms Rey Mysterio's exit and adds, "Whenever people leave a company or go to a company, everyone will ask what my thoughts are. It goes on every day. People come and go from companies every day, whether it's wrestling or a bank or a big business or McDonald's, people come and go all the time. When one person stays in a company for too long, they can sometimes get stagnant or stale."

Ray continues, "So it's good because with Rey leaving WWE now, maybe he'll go do some stuff that will light a fire under his ass even more. And now that opens up a spot for a younger guy in WWE to step up and become the next Rey Mysterio. It's always good for the business when people come and go and rosters constantly get mixed up."
Lucha Underground continues Wednesdays at 8:00PM ET/PT on the El Rey Network.
