Musician Gene Simmons revealed about his 'boy crush' at the 26th annual Carousel of Hope Ball event in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday. It was none other than, Academy-Award winning actor George Clooney.

"What do you girls say when you like another girl, but you're straight? George Clooney could be my 'boy crush'," quipped the 69-years-old musician, according to ETonline.

It was raining praises for Clooney at Beverly Hills. Almost all the distinguished guests at the auction event heaped praise on the 51-years-old Hollywood actor.

"You can't even fault anything about George. As much as you wanna criticize movie stars for what they make and do," the website reported Shannon Tweed, wife of SimmonsIt, as saying.

In last week's black-tie auction, which raised funds for a noble cause, Clooney was honoured for his philosophical work. The actor received a Brass Ring Award from erstwhile actress Shirley MacLaine.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Carl Reiner was supposed to present the award to his "Ocean's Thirteen" co-star, Clooney. Since, he was unable to make it to the event after falling ill, MacLaine filled in his place.

The black-tie event raised about $25 million for charity cause at the end of 2-hour auction. Carousel Of Hope Ball affair is held every year, in order to fund research and treatment for the childhood diabetes.

"One out of every three children will be born with diabetes. There is currently no cure. Money raised goes to help find a cure," tweeted Simmons.

The annual event witness over 1,200 participants, including Brad Grey, Sidney Poitier, Sherry Lansing, Jim Gianopulos, Bob Daly and Carole Bayer Sager, Jane Fonda, Jackie and Joan Collins, Mike Medavoy, Ron Burkle and Jerry Bruckheimer, said Hollywood Reporter.
