Kate Gosselin Parenting Neglect: TLC Star Leaves Kids Home for 6 Days With Baby-Sitter, Ex Jon's Court Documents State
Kate Gosselin might have a lot on her plate with eight kids on her hands, but it looks like the TLC star is facing some serious backlash now that the custody reports that her ex-husband Jon Gosselin filed back in 2010 are making their way into the light. While it was previously speculated that Kate had spanked her children on occasion, it now seems the star has also been known to neglect her kids and leave them with a baby-sitter for days on end. According to Radar Online, which obtained the court documents, Jon said that when it came to their eight kids -- Mady, Cara, Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah -- that Kate was known to leave the kids with a baby-sitter, sometimes for six days at a time, with Jon not being able to look after them during that period.
"Father has requested that he be given the option of caring for the children when Mother is unable to care for the children overnight during her custodial times," the reports claimed, adding, "Mother has refused to agree to this request."
The documents continued saying that Kate had prohibited the kids from being with their dad, but instead hired a baby-sitter to look after them.
"Recently, Mother traveled with the two older children for six days and left the six younger children in the care of a 19-year-old babysitter," the attorney continued. "Father was available, however, Mother refused to let the children stay with father and/or allow Father to stay in her home with the children."
Even further, it is being reported that Jon wasn't even allowed to talk to his kids while they were in the care of the baby-sitter, according to Just Jared. On the occasion that he would get through to the children, the nanny would be listening in on the phone calls.
