It's being reported that the Eyewitness News team has lost veteran reporter Lisa Colagrossi. The journalist recently suffered a brain hemorrhage while on assignment for the famed ABC news outlet and died at the age of 49.

WABC notes that this past Thursday "seemed like just another morning, with Lisa Colagrossi doing what she did so well, reporting live from the scene."

The publication left a touching tribute to the late journalist on their site.

Deadline reports that the 49-year-old mother of two went to New York's Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center after collapsing. "She never regained consciousness," they say.

Colagrossi was known for covering some very hefty cases in New York's history, specifically the Flight 587 crash in Bell Harbor, Queens; she was the only reporter on the scene.

She will be remembered for not only her reporting but also her spot as a news anchor.

Following the unfortunate news, fans and colleagues took to Twitter to share their feelings.
