American Horror Story [SPOILERS] Season 5 Hotel: 'Asylum' Star Returns — Chloe Sevigny Joins Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley
At this rate it doesn't look like there are going to be any vacancies left at the American Horror Story: Hotel. It seems that with every day that passes a new member is added to the already star studded cast, but hey, we aren't complaining. Today, news broke that an AHS alum would be gracing the halls of the hotel. While she was checked into the asylum without her consent, when Chloe Sevigny comes to the hotel she will be doing so on her own free will.
That's right, Sevigny, who played everyone's favorite sex loving patient Shelley on the second installment of the horror anthology, will be coming back to the Ryan Murphy-produced series. Murphy broke the news on his Twitter account earlier today.
"Very excited to announce that Chloe Sevigny returns to the AHS family as a series regular on AHS: Hotel," the creator wrote.
According to E! News, Sevigny will join the hugely talented cast that includes Lady Gaga, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, and Matt Bomer, on the fifth season of the series.
It seems that what the producers are doing is rebranding the series, and when it returns it will be missing one of their leading ladies. Jessica Lange announced earlier this year that she wouldn't be returning to the show for season five.
According to New York Daily News the star officially broke her exit news during the casts appearance at this year's PaleyFest.
"I'm done," the star announced. "We've had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I've had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I've loved the writers, my actors, Ryan and the whole, I mean, insanity of it, shooting here, shooting in New Orleans, the stories, everything."
The news season will premiere on FX in October.
