In epsidoe 14, Amina linked up with her ex-boyfriend and former manager, Orrin and decided to start on a clean slate without her hubby Peter Gunz, "I decided that I really want to focus on my music. I've been going through a lot of bullshit through my personal life and obviously I've become a mom and that's my number one priority but it was always music."
Orrin wants Amina to really take her career serious this time around and explained that he got her signed to Clive Davis, Russell Simmons and L.A. Reid and wants her to add him as a manager who can get her to the next level of her career.
Amina explained in her confessional that she could handle working with her ex-boyfriend despite their past romance, "Orrin used to manage my group Black Buddafly back in the day. Although, Orrin and I were dating and the relationship ended we still continued to working together for a long time. Throughout the years Orrin and I remained friends, even though there was nothing personal after we broke up but he's always been someone that I trusted."
She added, "So what I messed with Orrin back in the day, that doesn't mean he can't be an amazing manager. Orrin and I have worked together a lot longer than Peter and I have and I need to get my career moving."
Amina promised Orrin that she would end her relationship with the former rapper and take her career seriously, "I'm gonna work on getting over Peter. It has to be over."
