Drake vs. One Direction Beef: Zayn Malik Leaves Band For Solo Music Career, YMCMB Rapper 'Inspires' Quit Scandal, Twitter Hypes Collaboration?
Did Zayn Malik officially leave One Direction in hopes of working with YMCMB rapper, Drake? Apparently, the former "Story Of My Life" crooner is a huge fan of the OVO hypeman, and he is finally ready to embark on a solo career inspired by the "Take Care" crooner!
In fact ,the English singer is already allegedly working in the studio with renowned hip-hop producer, Naughty Boy (via Daily Mail). That's what a "normal" 22-year-old guy would do - right?
And he wants to sound just like Drizzy.
A supposed insider tells the popular gossip webloid HollywoodLife.com:
"Zayn won't be disappointing fans by just rapping on his records - he has put his falsetto voice to the test on several songs... He's really been listening to a lot of Drake's stuff, and has been inspired by his work and wants to channel a little bit of that."
Are diehard One Directioners furious, or now intrigued? Wonder if the Toronto emcee will take Malik under his wing - just like Lil Wayne did for him!
Throwback - Drizzy once rapped (on Weezy's 2014 single "Believe Me"):
"On the road I do One Direction numbers, I don't f*cking miss."
So let that sink-in...
Well, some Twitter fans definitely wouldn't mind a collaboration between the two superstars (although Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson might all be left in the dust):
@hjsbaker: "I'm here for a Drake inspired Zayn Malik album."
@sydegee: "IMAGINE LIVING IN A WORLD WHERE DRAKE SIGNS ZAYN MALIK TO OVO."
@justinsmalik: "dont forget to collab with jb, drake, and chris brown! @zaynmalik."
@amvnur: "Drake is the reason Zayn Malik left One Direction, Drake convinced him to leave. Big up my man Drizzy."
@sansastarking: "collab with drake you're free @zaynmalik."
@retiredslut: "@zaynmalik if u wont drake will."
The source also explained:
"Zayn has been listening to a lot of Drake - he's always been a big fan... He's hoping that some of the magic will rub off on him, and he'll be able to put together an album to rival his inspiration in the R&B charts."
Maybe take it slow and let 1Ders recover from the initial "I quit" shock - then let's see what happens!
