Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Nickelback Named Most Hated Musicians in 20 Years [PHOTOS]

Fans of John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band and Nickelback may want to turn away for this one, because it's being reported that they are three of the most hated bands of the last 20 years. Of course, it's rather hard to believe because anytime you go to their concerts they're typically sold out. Unfortunately, aside from you – and the millions of other people around the world who purchase tickets – they're just, well, hated.

A new report from Salon.com notes that Nickelback tops the list as one of the most hated bands around. Of course, we're not sure if they're listening the bands in order, but we'll just go with our own opinions on Nickelback here. Cool? Okay – Nickelback is No. 1!

Claiming they "used to be cool," the publication notes that the rock band has become rather popular to hate nowadays. Of course, that doesn't stop them from having an incredible amount of generic-dad fans all over the country.

As far as Katy Perry's on again, off again boyfriend, John Mayer? Well, given a couple of interviews in the past, on top of his uber-heightened ego, it's not really a shocker to hear that he's one of the most hated musicians around. That said, he is one killer guitar player.

And poor DMB. Despite being a very (very, very!) successful band, there's a lot of hate for the boys from Charlottesville, Virginia. But hey, given all their achievement and praises from around the world, our guess is they'll take a couple haters – and they'll do so laughing all the way to the bank...
