Ian Somerhalder & Nikki Reed Engagement Ring Pics - 'Vampire Diaries' & 'Twilight' Stars Share Intimate Moment

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder showed off their love in a couple of sweet snapshots that they shared on their social media accounts over the weekend. The Vampire Diaries star and his Twilight beauty of a fiancée showed off her engagement ring on Instagram when the two were headed to Miami for the Humane Society Gala.

The couple has always been known for their lovey-dovey and mushy messages towards one another since they began dating in the summer of 2014 and the captions on both Nikki and Ian's Instagram pages were no different.

According to E! News, Nikki took the opportunity to post a picture to her Instagram account on the way to the Humane Society, where she couldn't help but gush about her date for the event.

"On my way to the Gala in Miami where I am so excited to be receiving The Humane Society of the U.S.'s Inspirational Award!" the star wrote on the picture. "I'm also unveiling my brand new ad campaign to stop breed-specific-legislation all across the country. Also, I may or may not have a very handsome date that wanted to come along and present my award J Shhhhhhh!" In Ian's Instagram picture, fans get a clear shot of Nikki's engagement ring and he also couldn't help but gush about his fiancée in the caption.

"So excited-heading to @humanesociety Gala in Miami to present an honor to a beautiful woman whom I'm so grateful to be her date," the TVD star wrote on the picture. "Amazing how effortlessly the missions of like minds and shared hearts line up and fuel one another to create such amazing change-standing up for those with no voice. I'm blown away by @iamnikkireed, the Humane Society as well as all of you that support all of these amazing causes to make this incredible change. YOU are the real change makers."

The news site is reporting that the two got engaged back in January after only having dated for six months.
