Audiences watching The Flash on the CW network were caught with a major plot twist. While everyone thought the identity of the DC Comics super villain was revealed, Twitter had lots to say about the shocking revelation of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh and Matt Letscher).

In our previous recap, while the timeline was reset, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) made their way back, along with Golden Gilder (Peyton List). After torturing Cisco's brother, Captain Cold discovered the secret identity of The Flash. The scarlet speedster promised to go after Cold and his Rogues harder, if they killed any of his family members or friends.

In our recent recap, The Flash had a bomb strapped to his wrist thanks to the Trickster (Mark Hamill). In the flashbacks, the Reverse-Flash revealed himself to be Eobard Thawne (Letscher), a murderer displaced in time. In order to get back home, Thawne had to set events into motion, including the death of Well's wife. After causing a car crash, Thawne took the possession of Wells' body and killed the original host.

In an interview with Variety, Letscher reveals how he imitated Cavanagh through Thawne, "We mostly talked about how I was going to pronounce his name. [Laughs.] That was one of the big discussions. We didn't talk too much; he told me a little bit about it, but once I had been told that that was what he'd been doing all season, I went back and I looked at a few episodes, watched his behavior - how he behaved in public versus how he behaved in private when he was talking to Gideon. I tried to take a little flavor from that and put it into what I was doing because he was doing it so well. But beyond that there wasn't a whole lot of discussion, it was just "show up and have fun."

Check out what Twitter had to say:

@AthifEdge4Ever tweets, "I feel sorry for the real Harrison Wells who got killed by Eobard Thawne and took his personality. @CW_TheFlash"

@reithone writes, "The Flash's new episode gave me goosebumps. They just added so much depth to Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne story. Something not in the comics"

@ashleynrqz adds, "One does not simply say, "I am Harrison Wells." #TheFlash"

@tarcamwat states, "When Harrison Wells' cover gets blown RF is going to need a new identity. Genetic camouflage is a game changer. #TheFlash"

@ThisIsLava couldn't believe the truth, "Ooohhhh sh*t! The real Harrison Wells is dead! #TheFlash"

The Flash will return from hiatus on April 14.
