Psy ‘Gangnam Style' Rocks YouTube, Earns Guinness World Record
PSY has been racking up more appreciation and breaking records since the release of his single music video "Gangnam Style" and this song continues to add more records to his credits.
PSY's record-breaking single song "Oppa Gangnam Style" has dived into Guinness World Record for being the most liked video. Meanwhile, it is the second highest most viewed video on YouTube as it has garnered millions of views since its launch in July.
'Gangnam Style', which has only been available to view since the 15th of July, has been 'liked' in excess of 2,141,758 times, making it the most liked video in YouTube history, said the official website of Guinness World Record.
"The closest competitors for most liked video on YouTube include LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem' (1,574,963 likes), Justin's Bieber's 'Baby' (1,327,147 likes) and Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' (1,245,641 likes)," said the official website.
Meanwhile, PSY becomes the first rapper from South Korea to head the iTunes chart.
PSY was catapulted to an international pop sensation status with his single "Gangnam Style," which went viral online.
PSY instantly earned worldwide fans with his bizarre and quirky horse dance moves in "Gangnam Style," which earned him a flurry of opportunities to put up his performances on many international music podiums.
Lately, PSY has been enlisted to perform at the EMA 2012 Awards, in Frankfurt in Germany on Nov 11, alongside other stars. Earlier, the overjoyed South Korean music sensation said that he was much excited to lose his international virginity to the MTV organised music award function.
