Coach Mark Hughes acknowledged his team's history with Chelsea, explaining that he welcomes the challenge.
"We have acquitted ourselves well in big games on the road this season, and we want to go down to London and put in another good performance. It will be incredibly difficult because they have world-class players and they have an outstanding man in charge," he said this week. "I don't think they have been playing as well as they were at the start of the season, but they are still picking up positive results. They don't have Europe to contend with now and maybe that will help them in their bid to lift the title."

Coach Jose Mourinho opened up to reporters this week, talking about today's match and also the rest of the season.
"Everybody knows the way Stoke play but they are difficult opponents and that is why they have no problem staying in the Premier League. They have a manager who is there a couple of years and has a new contract and the same players and they are very stable. Everyone knows the way they play but it is difficult for everyone," the manager said. "We need six victories and one draw from nine matches. It is a good situation for us and one all the other clubs would like to be in, but we need to do that and we haven't yet."
