For fans of the series, the story of Frank Underwood's journey to the heart of Washington, D.C. has been an amazing one, with the luxuries of binge-watching the series on the streaming service adding to just how great the show is. Since it is released all at once on Netflix, your wait for the next season is usually longer, though. So now we know we'll need to wait until 2016, according to the official Twitter account for the popular series. Check out this announcements right here:

This is all we know so far, besides the fact that new scripts have been in the works for months and that filming will begin shortly. Slash Film points out that the political series could debut during a very important time in real-life politics, especially since 2016 is a new Presidential year. If, like the previous seasons of the show, season 4 of House of Cards premiers in Feb., this would be right in the middle of Primaries! Why not have our favorite politician from TV around during the real thing, right?
