Sam Worthington Arrest: Claimed Himself As DEA Agent to Threaten Bouncer
A court dismissed disorderly conduct charges against actor Sam Worthington, who was arrested over the weekend after being involved in a scuffle with a bouncer in Atlanta.
A court decided to drop charges against the actor after the bouncer reportedly failed to show up for the hearing. The witness has reportedly claimed that he didn't receive any summon to appear in the court.
The bouncer has been identified as Jerry Link who attacked Worthington with pepper spray and handcuffed him until the actor was handed over to police. It all started when Worthington was stopped from entering at Vortex Bar and Grill in Atlanta by the doorman.
The bouncer refused entry for the "Avatar" star as he thought that he was too much intoxicated already. Link told TMZ that he wasn't aware that Worthington was an actor and thought that he must be a vagrant.
"Worthington rolled up to Vortex Bar and Grill in Atlanta, wearing a dirty hoodie and carrying a bunch of clothes ... and everyone thought he was a homeless person," Link said to the celebrity gossip website.
Link also revealed that Worthington claimed himself as a DEA Agent after he was pepper sprayed. "I'm a DEA agent! You f**ked up now!" bouncer said. Worthington is playing DEA agent in his forthcoming film, for which he is shooting in Atlanta.
Wonder what his girlfriend thinks about this whole incident.
