Cee Lo Green Lawsuit Update: Alleged Sexual Assault Victim Had Dated Him For Long Period?

In a twist to the sexual assault case against singer Cee Lo, the woman, who accused him of rape, was not on a first date with the singer and had reportedly dated him over a year.

The unidentified alleged victim has accused Cee Lo of slipping her the drug and making her lose her sense before he had sex with her without her consent.

However, according to latest reports the woman knew the singer well before the incident and also had sought Cee Lo to buy her some expensive gifts to her.

"Cee Lo met at the Super Bowl in Dallas in February, 2011.  They hung out over the weekend.  She went back to Houston, where she lives, and Cee Lo returned to L.A., but they stayed in touch and dated off and on for the next year-and-a-half.  In addition to seeing each other (he flew her out to L.A. from time to time), they frequently texted and spoke on the phone," TMZ reported.

Meanwhile, one of Cee Lo's sources described the case as "fabricated story."

"The woman fabricated the story because she's involved with someone back in Texas who got wind she was in L.A. with Cee Lo and she was just covering her butt," the celebrity website quoted.

However, earlier reports suggested that investigating officials had the alleged victim to make a pretext call to Cee Loo in order to hear what he had to say about the incident, in which he didn't admit to sexually assaulting her as alleged but repeatedly apologised to her and referred to MDMA (Ecstasy).

The case is currently being probed by LAPD detectives.
