J. Lo Hotel Maid Fired Over Autograph Request? Songstress Denies 'Hurtful' Rumors on Twitter

A social media report popped up on a number of gossip sites this week, alleging that pop star Jennifer Lopez had a hotel maid fired after the working woman requested an autograph from the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" songstress. According to reports, German hotel maid Pray Dodaj wanted to ask  J. Lo for her signature after cleaning the pop princess' room - apparently she was then denied access to Lopez's  suite by a number of security guards, and was fired the next day because the 43-year-old starlet had ultimately complained to management. After hearing about the seedy claims, Lopez hit up Twitter to deny such rumors, insisting that she would never get anyone fired over an autograph and that such gossip is very hurtful.

According to UK entertainment news outlet "The Sun," Dodaj (a 40-year-old diehard Jenny from the Block fan) worked as a maid at the Melia hotel in Dusseldorf before being fired last week. Supposedly after cleaning J. Lo's room to perfection, Pray grew the nerve to go back and ask for an autograph.  She was promptly turned away at the door by two of Lopez's security guards -"I cleaned on her floor. And I am an incredibly big fan so I took all my courage and rang the bell to get an autograph. But I was rejected by two assistants at the door," Dodaj said. As if being denied by one of your favorite celebs wasn't enough, Dodaj was getting ready to returned to work the next day only to find out that management had fired her. Apparently J. Lo wasn't too happy about the "John Hancock" request, and complained to the big guys at the hotel. "A day later the cleaning company that employed me at the hotel called and said that Ms Lopez had complained" -  a somber Dodaj told "The Sun" - "I was fired right there on the phone. Because of an autograph."

Before fans lash-out at J. Lo for being so cruel and inconsiderate to one of her own fans, check out this tweet the songstress posted on Twitter on Wednesday (Nov. 7):

@JLo: "C'mon thought you knew me better than this.. Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this was on twitter. #hurtful."

It looks like Lopez initially had no idea about the "fired over an autograph" rumors, but now does thanks to social networking.
