'Mob Wives' Big Ang Tumor Surgery, Sister Addresses VH1 Star's Recovery & 'Long Nerve Racking Surgery'
Mob Wives star Big Ang, also known as Angela Raiola, has had a pretty scary week, as the VH1 star is being treated for a tumor that has formed on her vocal chords. The star just underwent surgery earlier today to get the mass removed, and it looks like she has made it through the worst of it, and has made it to the recovery room.
According to E! News, Ang's sister, Janine Detore has been keeping all the family member and fans updated on her sis's status.
Detore took to her Instagram account to post a throwback picture of her and Ang together, with a caption to update everyone on Ang's recovery process.
"To all my sisters family friends fans & well wishers my sister @biggangvh1 had a extremely long nerve racking surgery today she's now in recover resting I wanna thank each & everyone of you for reaching out to us and praying for her & my family today," Janine wrote under the picture.
"As I said this morning as I stand behind my sister in this picture I stood behind her today & every day we will always stand by each other through thick & thin blood is blood sister sister a bond that could never be broken now just pray for a speedy recovery I love her so much & you'll see her very soon she's a fighter #lilsis #bigsis #family #forever #sistersister."
TMZ is also reporting on Ang's condition saying that the surgery was a success, and that Ang's vocal chords have been saved even though the mass was growing on them. The reality star has been instructed not to speak for the next three days and that her voice should return to normal by then.
