If you loved the sci-fi buddy comedies, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, the Wild Stallyns are back in this hilarious sequel. Ted "Theodore" Logan (Keanu Reeves) and Bill S. Preston (Alex Winter) find themselves in laugh-out-loud hijinks in BOOM! Studios' Bill & Ted's Most Triumphant Return #2.

As we previously mentioned, The Great Ones have to fulfill their destiny and deliver their next big hit. Worried about becoming one-hit wonders, the slacker duo needed inspiration before they could achieve galactic harmony. Time traveler Rufus (a wonderful nod to the late George Carlin) arrived to provide wisdom and set them on the right path. Using their phone booth, the time-traveling duo stepped into the future, discovering a younger Chuck De Nomolos.

In the second installment, Chuck happens to be the smartest kid in school, but also the most ostracized. No one wants to be friends with Chuck because his older self is destined to murder the Great Ones. Though everyone knows what's he's going to do, does that still make Chuck the bad guy, even though he hasn't done anything yet?

Writer Brian Lynch fills the page with funny comebacks and catchy one-liners. Though there aren't a lot of musical references, like in the first installment, the narrative picks up the pace when Bill and Ted think they can change the timeline. The lovable goofballs think the future will get better if they help out this one kid. It's a nice message about anti-bullying, which Gaylord emphasizes when Chuck is in classroom.

Always illustrating Bill and Ted together, artist Jerry Gaylord aims for slapstick comedy. Gaylord has the poses down pat when Ted and Bill present themselves to young Chuck. If you thought De Nomolos was bad, wait till you meet his family. Missy, Bill and Ted' airhead stepmom, gets her own short tale and it is just as ridiculous and over-the-top as you expect.

A laugh-out-loud read, Bill & Ted's Most Triumphant Return #2 is screwball comedy at its best.
