'A.K.A. Jessica Jones' Spoilers: Will Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter Crossover On Netflix With 'Marvel's Daredevil?' [WATCH]
Marvel's Daredevil has finally premiered for binge-watching viewers, launching the first of the upcoming Netflix superhero series. Before all the Marvel supeheroes team-up, how will Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) and Mike Colter (Luke Cage) eventually "cross-pollinate" in Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones?
As we previously mentioned, Jessica Jones (Ritter) suffers from post-traumatic stress due to her superhero days. After giving up on her costumed lifestyle, Jones becomes the sole owner of Alias Private Investigations. The Netflix series follows the super-powered private eye as she investigates cases of the extraordinary kind.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Daredevil showrunner Steven S. DeKnight explains how the the Marvel/Netflix shows will become the superior team known as The Defenders, "There is an over-arching global plan culminating in The Defenders, and some of that groundwork has been laid in Daredevil. I've had people ask me if Jessica Jones or Luke Cage make an appearance in Daredevil this season, and my answer is unfortunately 'no' because we were operating pretty much in a vacuum with this first one."

DeKnight adds how the comic book adaptations are different, "Jessica Jones showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight) is adapting Bendis' graphic novel. I was shooting the finale when Krysten Ritter was cast as Jessica Jones. With Daredevil being the first out of the gate, we didn't have the opportunity to cross-pollinate with other shows because they still in their formative stages. My hope is moving forward with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, now we will see more cross-pollination. There is a global plan moving toward [miniseries] The Defenders. We started to put things in place."
