After the unfortunate and horrific murder of South Carolina resident Walter Scott at the hands of Officer Michael Slager – which was caught on video by Feidin Santana – it's being reported that Scott was laid to rest and buried this weekend. CNN notes that the funeral services garnered hundreds of people in attendance, all of whom mourned his death and celebrated his life. Which the news outlet calls a "catalyst for change in America."

Scott's services were held at W.O.R.D. Ministries Christian Center in Summerville, with a reported 300 people in attendance as the flagged was draped over his casket.

Scott was a Unites States Coast Guard veteran.

Brother Anthony Scott noted during the funeral that "the change will come." With that, the ministry head George Hamilton said that Scott's death was "motivated by racial prejudice" – following the likes of the Ferguson's Michael Brown murder and Eric Garner in Statan Island. He further noted that his death will bring forth a change in the country, and it "will not be in vain."

After Santana's video went viral – which is a strange term to use when speaking of a murder – a dash cam video was released, showing a different angle of Scott's interaction with Officer Slager before his death.

Unlike Santana's video, however, the below does not show Scott's death.

Walter Scott was pulled over last week for a broken taillight. The video and story of his death was initially made available to the New York Times.
