Nicki Minaj 'My Truth,' Blasts Barbara Walters for Supporting Mariah Carey in ‘American Idol’ Feud, Won't Interview 'Black Girl Rapper' [VIDEO]
In the second episode of E!'s three-part documentary special on pop star Nicki Minaj entitled "My Truth," the "Pound the Alarm" songstress blasts popular broadcast journalist Barbara Walters for taking pop diva Mariah Carey's side in the infamously viral "American Idol" judges feud. Apparently after the "AI" verbal confrontation, Walters spread the word that Carey was forced to increase her security after the rap star supposedly threatened her life with a gun. Now according to Minaj, Walters should just shut her mouth, since it looks like the "Starships" star isn't good enough to be interviewed by "The View" host anyway.
While discussing the "American Idol" feud accusations with a group of friends on a private jet, Minaj blasts Walters, stating - "Am I not good enough for you to get my side because I'm a little Black girl that raps?" said Minaj. "Because if I was J. Lo, you would've called J. Lo's camp. But are we not good enough for you, Barbara? Cause you wasn't even there when I was on the show, Barbara. So I guess I'm not good enough but I'm only good enough for you to tell people I'm 'unpredictable,' when you don't f---ing know me?"
Apparently Walters discussed the whole encounter with Carey, even referring to Minaj as "unpredictable," but never actually reached out to the "Super Bass" songstress to get her side of the story. And Minaj isn't too happy about it. (Walters insists that she did reach out to Minaj through Twitter, but got no response).
The pop diva feud has since settled down (at least for now), and the new season of "American Idol" is set to premiere in January 2013. But for those who would like to relive the moment, here is the infamous "AI" feud:
