"It's more important than ever to have the fans, the players and the staff together as one. We are one club," Pellegrini said this week, according to City's official website. "My pressure is always the same, to win every game for this team to play in the way I like the team to play. Last year there was more pressure when we were fighting for the title. The pressure is for us to recover our normal performance and that's not the same as fighting for the title. We are thinking about the next game against West Ham on Sunday and that's the only thing on our minds."

Meanwhile, West Ham's Sam Allardyce might have an uncertain coaching future with the squad, but he's still focused on today's challenge.
"What has happened to Man City in recent weeks, in terms of their defeats, has been surprising - a huge shock across the football world based on the huge amount of talent they have," the manager told the press this week. "At home they are very good and it will be hard to get something. But hopefully we can test their nerve."
