'Star Wars Battlefront' Gameplay Trailer [WATCH VIDEO] Release Date & 'Force Awakens' Ties Revealed At 2015 Anaheim Celebration

DICE, Electronic Arts Studio and Lucasfilm are officially releasing the highly anticipated video game, Star Wars Battlefront for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 17, 2015. We learned this release date news today during the Star Wars Anaheim Celebration, which was also the source of an even better update for the title: a gameplay trailer featuring great action, Darth Vader and Boba Fett! Plus, we learned how this new video game will tie into the 2015 movie, The Force Awakens. Watch this new video footage below!

According to a new press release that accompanies this new gameplay trailer, we can expect a whole new gameplay experience from this shooter.

"Like so many others around the world, everyone at DICE is a tremendous fan of the Star Wars universe," the game's senior Producer, Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, said in the official press release, according to Slash Film. "To be working on a Star Wars project and knowing we are helping to represent the universe we love to our generation and a legion of new Star Wars fans is truly an honor. Thanks to the access and knowledge shared with us by Lucasfilm, and the passion and talent of our team, we plan to deliver an amazing game that puts you right in the middle of the Star Wars battles you always imagined playing."

Plus, we learned that the new planet Jakku, which is featured in the new trailer for The Force Awakens, will also play a big part in some Battlefront DLC. This means we'll find out how that Star Destroyer ended up becoming a ruin in the opening segment of the teaser video (via Gamma Squad)!
