Amina Buddafly Responds To Erica Mena’s Final Season With 'Love & Hip Hop New York: "She's the Best, Someone That I Look Up To" [WATCH]
After the world learned that this was Erica Mena's last season on Love & Hip Hop New York, before she tied the knot with Bow Wow, some of her cast-mates have been feeling a bit bummed that she's not returning to the show. In a new interview, Mena's pal, Amina Buddafly admitted that she's going to miss her former costar. The two ladies started off rough, but now Amina and Erica have become sisters.
"Erica is the best. From the day I met her...the first interaction I had with her was obviously kind of more negative but the first day she actually embraced me and just like showed me nothing but love and I will always remember that," Amina said. "When I did last season, it was my first season and I had so much negativity so much hate, and so many people just being against me and she was the one that was like all 'team Mina,' and from the jump saw me for who I am, and didn't judge me."
She added, "So I will always remember her for that and love her. Now, we really kind of formed a friendship that I really cherish. I can call her whenever I want, she's always there."
Amina even admitted that Erica was "someone that she even looks up to with this whole thing, and experience. I miss her already, being present. I will be so sad because that's my only friend on the show that I have. I really don't have any friends on the show. Now I don't know what's going to happen with me and my husband [Peter Gunz] so I'm going to be all by myself."
As for Erica's ex-lover, Rich Dollaz, he seems to have a different outlook on Erica's exit. "Mena's been done for a while, she wasn't really a prominent member of this cast," Dollaz said, adding that "the show goes on."
