Shared via Polygon, this video is definitely going to be bittersweet for fans. Plus, the game's creator, Sam Lake shared some details in regards to this sequel, making this eve n harder to accept!
"Near the end of Alan Wake, we were sitting down and talking about the sequel and where we should be taking it, on a detailed level," Lake explained. "More or less straight from getting I shipped, we were working on a sequel and planning on a sequel. For Alan Wake, from the get-go, we assumed there was going to be a sequel and we mapped things further out when it came to character, story, details and focus changes. We knew we would have to iterate and refine, but there was always a rough road map there."
Though it might be hard to take, there is some slight hope that this game might come back to life.
"It feels that time has only refined the ideas of what the sequel would be, which is great," Lake said, according to GammaSquad. " It's almost, in some ways and on some level, that all of this extra time to think it about it has made it tastier and more exciting. Only time will tell."
