Rihanna Performing on SNL 2015 Season Finale & Releases New Weed-Inspired Music After Coke Snorting Allegations [VIDEO]
Just weeks after being accused of getting caught snorting coke on camera, Rihanna has come out blazing with new music and new performances on the horizon. She recently released a snippet from a new song from her eighth album called "James Joint" and will be performing on the 2015 season finale of SNL.
On 4/20, she released a new song called "James Joint."
"In celebration of 420, here is an interlude from my 8th studio album that I call 'James Joint,'" she wrote on RihannaNow.com
The 70-second clip was all about smoking pot and causing trouble with her lover.
"I would rather be breaking things because we can't see / We are too busy kissing / Just making scenes / Here come the police, did not know about your history," the song's lyrics said.
"Dude, I'm in love with my interludes," she said in a recent interview. "This one called 'James Joint' is on constant repeat. The album is soulful and aggressive, whether it's lyrically, musically, or just the tone of my voice."
It's been three years since Rihanna dropped 2012's Unapologetic, but she's barely taken a break.
"I didn't actually take time off. The past two years are the hardest I've ever worked," she said, going on to detail the several projects she has in the works. "I've been working on two albums, an animated film, shooting for multiple magazines, designing for Puma and Stance [socks], a new line of fragrances, a summer tour, I launched my first annual Diamond Ball at the end of last year, and I've also been developing several projects to be revealed in the near future."
She'll also be performing on SNL on May 16, on the show's season finale hosted by Louis C.K.
Along with all of her personal projects, the pop star has also been busy in her personal life, walking as a bridesmaid in her assistant's Hawaiian wedding, and hooking up with rumored on-again, off-again beau Drake.
