Christie On SNL: The New Jersey Governor Jokes With Seth Meyers On 'Weekend Update', Takes Jab At Springsteen [Video]
Three weeks after Super storm Hurricane Sandy hit, Governor Chris Christie decided it was time to lighten the mood of millions who were devastated by the storm. The governor appeared on SNL's "Weekend Update" with Seth Meyers to talk about hurricane and to thank and bash many people.
In pure fun, Christie did admit his short temper as he joked around on set with Meyers. Christie began talking about the clean up effort in New Jersey and said that "New Jerseyans are known for their patience." When Meyers questioned, "They are?" Christie snapped, "Yes, they are. How many times do I have to say it to you!" The crowd burst out into laughter when he began thanking the red cross and then his wife who put up with her husband smelling like a wet fleece for the past three weeks, which is now "fused" to his skin.
The governor then made sure to bash other mayors who ignored his evacuation warning and reporters that placed themselves in danger, "We don't need you to tell us there's a hurricane...we have windows, he joked."
