'Archie vs. Sharknado': Archie Andrews Must Become Ian Ziering's Fin Shepard To Save Riverdale!

Just in time for Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, starring Tara Reid (April Wexler) and Ian Ziering (Fin Shepard), on Syfy, Archie Comics is getting into the Sharknado phenomenon as well. After taking on The Punisher, The Predator, and The Grim Reaper, Archie Andrews has to save Riverdale from a shark-infested tornado in Archie Vs. Sharknado.  

As we previously mentioned, Sharknado 2: The Other One took viewers to the the Big Apple as a storm of biblical proportions hit the streets. Reunited after being estranged, Fin (Ziering) and April (Reid) are back fighting sharks that keep falling from the sky. This time around, Fin had to save his former best friend, Martin (Mark McGrath) and his sister Ellen (Kari Wuhrer) before New York's famous landmarks became toppled over by the massive floods.

In the plot of Sharknado 3, the unnatural weather disaster will cause mass destruction in the East Coast. The sharknado will then hit Washington, D.C. and make its way to Orlando, Florida. According to Deadline, Jerry Springer, NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick and WWE star Chris Jericho are a few of guest stars in the roster. David Hasselhoff will show up Fin's father and Bo Derek will play April's mother.

The 48-page comics will be written by Sharknado trilogy director Anthony C. Ferrante and drawn by Dan Parent, Syfy and Archie Comics will release the issue in comic stores and digitally on Wednesday, July 22, the same date as the premiere of Sharknado 3. 

In his statement, Ferrante teases, "Having a chance to crossover the Archie comics with our Sharknado universe has been a dream come true. Riverdale will never be the same and I know fans are going to get a thrill out of seeing Archie, Betty, Veronica and the rest of the gang unleash their inner Fin Shepards."

Out in stores now, Archie vs. Predator #1 is a fun-filled teen slasher as America's favorite teen takes on the galaxy's fiercest hunter.

Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! will air on Syfy on July 22nd.
