Arrow Season 3 Spoilers: New Episode 21 'Al Sah-Him' Extended Promo Released
Last night's episode of the CW's Arrow ended with the official initiation of Oliver Queen into the League of Assassins as Al Sah-Him, the Heir to the Demon.
A new extended promo for next week's episode, appropriately titled "Al Sah-Him," has been released, and it looks like Oliver is going to cross paths with his friends sooner rather than later, but in a way he'd rather avoid. Check it out below:
Here is the official description for the episode:
"THE LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS SETS THEIR SIGHTS ON NYSSA - Oliver (Stephen Amell) goes through a rigorous transformation. The League of Assassins sets their sights on Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law), who is back in Starling City training Laurel (Katie Cassidy). When Nyssa realizes they are coming, she arms up to face them alone but Laurel asks Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) to help protect her new friend. Thor Freudenthal directed the episode with story by Beth Schwartz and teleplay by Brian Ford Sullivan & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#321)."
In case you missed it, TVLine has posted its May Sweeps Spectacular, which includes spoilers on Arrow. We have now seen that Oliver does in fact accept the mantle of Ra's al Ghul.
"So the question is, first of all, why the hell would he do that?" showrunner Marc Guggenheim tells TVLine. "And once he's done it, how is there still an Arrow -- both in terms of the hero and, quite frankly, the show itself?"
But it's not as simple as that. Guggenheim notes Oliver can't just waltz into the role and live happily ever after. "Once you're in, you're in [as the new Ra's]," the executive producer says. "But in order to stay in, you've got to do some stuff."
There's also the matter of Nyssa, Ra's daughter who was snubbed as his heir. "There was an agenda behind her going back to Starling City that we're still not aware of," Guggenheim said. This will apparently unfold in "Al Sah-Him" on April 29.
