Speaking to the media this week, coach Caleb Porter of the Timbers addressed the rivalry between the teams and what a win would mean for his side.
"It would be a huge result to go there and beat Seattle, a rival," the manager said. "I think there will be a little bit more buzz in our guys' systems this week getting ready for this game. I don't think you'll have a let down playing Seattle, that's for sure. This is a special week. Obviously, it's another game, but there will be a little bit more bounce to our players' steps this week because they know how much it means to our fans and how much it would mean to us to get another three points on the road."
