'Secret Wars: Battleworld' #1 Preview: First Look At Punisher & Doctor Strange In Marvel Comics Event!

Marvel Comics has released a special preview from their upcoming Secret Wars tie-in series. Take a first look at The Punisher and Doctor Strange as they take on the rest of Marvel Universe in Secret Wars: Battleworld #1, from writers Josh Williamson, Ed Brisson, and artists Mike Henderson, Scott Hepburn. 

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

From what we already know, Miles Morales stood helplessly as he watched Earth-616 heading straight towards his Ultimate Universe in Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #12. Deadpool, the mercy with a mouth, ended up kicking the bucket as he burnt up in flames when the two worlds collided into one another.

In the plot synopsis, readers will discover what will happen when Dr. Strange possesses the Punisher. As the gun-toting vigilante and the sorcerer supreme combine, get ready to meet the new Sorcerer Extreme. Only Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Hulk and Ghost Rider of this planet can track the terrible two-in-one enemy down. Things will only get messy when M.O.D.O.K. recruits every M.O.D.O.K. ever from across Battleworld for his evil scheme.

As we previously mentioned, Miles Morales has to save his home world in Ultimate End #1, Peter Parker has a wife and kid in Renew Your Vows #1, and Magneto leads the last remaining X-Men team members in Age of Apocalypse #1.
