'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Movie Sequel Spoilers, Release Date: 'TMNT 2' Casts New Shredder To Lead Bebop & Rocksteady In 2016
While the 2014 blockbuster hit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles introduced us to new versions of some of our favorite childhood characters, it looks like its upcoming sequel is going to revamp one of the first film's characters! Shredder, the arch-nemesis of the Turtles will return, but this time actor Brian Tee of The Wolverine, Mortal Kombat Legacy and more will wear the sharp armor in 2016! He will likely lead Bebop and Rocksteady, and fend off newcomer vigilante Casey Jones in the new movie.

Originally, actor Tohoru Masamune portrayed the villain, but according to Gamma Squad, was a last second change during re-shoots. Considering how drastic the reboot is from the original films, we're not exactly sure how Tee will bring anything new to the character, especially since we weren't even sure if there was a body in the Shredder in 2014! Plus, wasn't William Fichtner supposed to end up being Shredder?
Whatever the case, mixing up the casting and perhaps spending more time on this character is definitely a promising move in the right direction for the Michal Bay production.
