WWE NXT Preview 4/29/15: Road to May 20 Live Special Begins
WWE's NXT returns to the WWE Network tonight with the first episode in a fresh set of tapings on the road to the next live special on May 20. Tonight's broadcast airs at 8 p.m. Eastern.
We have a new No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women's Championship in Becky Lynch, who will be coming after her former partner Sasha Banks. Will Lynch make a move on the champ tonight, or will The Boss fire the first shot?
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are back at it again, though the NXT Champion's knee injury certainly complicates things. Will the two fight at the next live special, or will Zayn's attention go elsewhere while Owens heals?
Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze also have a feud brewing, so will Prince Pretty make a move on the artist formerly known as Prince Devitt?
Enzo Amore and Big Cass are gunning for the NXT Tag Team Championships, currently held by Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy. The Realest Guys in the Room have all the charisma in the world, but will that be enough to claim gold?
As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action. But for now, let us know your thoughts, guesses, opinions, and predictions for tonight's show in the comments section.
In case you missed it, here are the results of last week's show:
Finn Balor defeats Tye Dillinger in the first match. Tyler Breeze then appeared on the TitanTron and said Balor was just the flavor of the month. His plan is to take out the international stars NXT had been bringing in, and Balor is next on his list.
Becky Lynch pins Bayley in a Triple Threat match with Charlotte to become the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Women's Championship. She scored the pin while locked in Charlotte's Figure Four.
Hideo Itami defeats CJ Parker to unofficially boot him out of NXT and onto the independent circuit.
Rhyno squashes some local enhancement talent with the Gore.
Kevin Owens defeats Alex Riley with a pop-up powerbomb. After the match, the champion tries to deliver the same move to A-Ry on the apron, but Sami Zayn rushes in and saves him. They brawl for a bit until some officials and other wrestlers break them up a few times. Zayn even hits a dive from the top rope onto Owens and the rest of the bunch on the floor.
