Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill Return for '21 Jump Street' 'Men in Black' Crossover, All Female Spinoff in the Works

At the end of 22 Jump Street we saw a few fake trailers put in place to take a dig at the movie industry's love for sequels. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill's characters went to medical school, culinary school and then a ninja academy. In honor of that ending, the Jump Street franchise has not only decided to make one, but they are working on three separate sequels. The first will be 23 Jump Street, the next is an all female Jump Street cast and those two are going to be followed by a crossover with the Men in Black.

Sony has hired Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs to write the scripts for the all-female Jump Street spinoff. As for now, those are the only details on it. Nobody has been caste for any parts just yet.

The most exciting news coming out of the Jump Street camp though is the Men in Black crossover. We first got wind of the idea back in January when Sony's e-mails were leaked. In one e-mail, Jonah Hill called the idea "clean and rad and powerful."

Jump Street's director Phil Lord says it's an exciting idea.

"Nothing's changed. It's still a crazy idea, and we only do things that seem like they're going to be terrible," Lord said. "We're really focusing on what's a great story for Schmidt and Jenko and how to tell the next chapter in their lives. And perhaps use creatures from another world at the same time."

Right now Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin haven't made any official comments on the crossover although you would hope they'd be a part of it. Smith and Jones especially have to be there because they've been the stars of the franchise from the very beginning. Without them, is it really a crossover?
