Earlier this week, CBSSports.com reporter Matt Moore offers this updated power ranking breakdown for each eight remaining teams:
Bulls (8): "I took the Bulls to beat the Cavaliers. So this makes no sense. But hear me out... I love the Bulls' chances to beat Cleveland, more than almost any team. Their ability to match up with the other teams is the question. The Wizards have just as good of a defense, with the size inside to counter them, and wing defenders to attack the Bulls' perimeter weapons. The Bulls' offense has a nasty habit of just going kaput at inopportune times (like twice vs. Milwaukee, including once at home). They have to get great offensive performances 12 more times. That seems like too steep of a hill to climb... Chicago is a really dangerous team, but the Bulls' first round only reasserted something we've known: They don't have a high enough playoff gear to raise their performance enough, especially offensively."
Cavaliers (7): "I know, I know, I know. LeBron. Kyrie. I get it. You have to consider the other factors here, though. Kevin Love's out, which kills a surprising amount of their offensive versatility and puts James in the position of having to play power forward, which he does not wish to do. It puts either Mike Miller or Shawn Marion into more minutes, which at this point in their careers is a double-edged sword... They have to get through a Chicago team built to beat them and that hates them with the fire of 100 suns, and which plays a physical, grinding style of basketball. Then they would have to figure out how to beat an Atlanta team that schematically victimizes their good-not-great defense or a Wizards team that at that point would have so much confidence it would be shooting out of them like electricity... And even if they survive all that, they have to beat the Western Conference. They lost their third best player for the rest of the playoffs, their defense is nothing to jump up and down about. I don't want to put a LeBron-James-led team here... But I am."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channel TNT, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 1070 The Fan, WMRI ESPN, WTAM 1100, and 100.7 WMMS.
