Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are making it extremely hard for everyone to determine their relationship status. The couple have been seen countless times together, however not at the AMA's. 

The pop star went on Oprah Winfrey's  "Oprah's Next Chapter," to discuss about his relationship with the young beauty, "I never make her separate from me because I never want her to feel like I'm ashamed of her,"  he told the host. However, if the "Baby" singer didn't want to be separated from her, why has he been out on dinners with her days before he was on a red carpet with his mother? Sources told People magazine, that the "friend" card will be used as he prances around with Victoria Secret model, Barbara Palvin and other women, but the couple are trying hard to restore their relationship.

Gomez's trust issues keeps hitting a rough patch because "their lifestyle are changing." According to People magazine, "She's getting more reserved, and he's getting into his wild boy phase," which could mean Bieber may want to branch out while he's still on top. Not certain if the couple are still back on or not, Bieber is definitely sending mixed signals that's having everyone scratching their heads. So, are the couple back on? Maybe, Maybe not, however, Bieber still holds Gomez close to his heart saying, "I am all about really genuine people, and I feel like she's one of the most genuine people, you know? She just has a good heart and I can talk to her about anything."
