'Assassin's Creed Victory' Official Name: 'Syndicate' - 2015 Release Date, Teaser Trailer Gameplay News
After months of thinking that the next Assassin's Creed game from Ubisoft would get the title "Victory," we've learned this week that 2015 will see Syndicate as the newest installment of the popular video game franchise. This title news and release date information came a day ahead of schedule, as we previously reported that May 12, 2015 would hold some gameplay information. We even got to see the leaked teaser trailer serving as the new game's announcement preview, marking this year's holiday season for a launch. Though we've been seeing reports of "Victory" being the next AC title, we've now learned that it was just a codename or a placeholder for Syndicate. Polygon broke this news this week, stating that the playable main character this time around is named Jacob Frye. The website sources promotional materials for this news, but the official announcement will still come from Ubisoft this week, so at least we can confirm the news!
