First Production Video of Spinoff 'Fear The Walking Dead' Released as Filming Begins
AMC's spinoff series Fear The Walking Dead has begun filming, and a new production video has been released to coincide with this.
Check it out below:
"Fear the Walking Dead takes us back to the earlier, more dangerous, more terrifying days of The Walking Dead," said Robert Kirkman in a press release. "A time when danger was lurking around every corner and the thing mostly likely to get you killed was your own ignorance of the rapidly changing world around you. The stakes are going to be higher and the ride more intense. We're going to show people all the insanity of civilization crumbling that Rick Grimes slept through. Buckle up."
"I could not be more thrilled to be continuing on this apocalyptic journey, dramatizing the horrific disintegration of society through the lens of a dysfunctional family. We've assembled a stellar cast and crew to tell our story -- it's going to be a great ride," added David Erickson.
In other news, EW.com reports that Mercedes Mason, who has appeared on Chuck and The Finder, has been added as a series regular in an unknown role. The site adds she would likely appear after the first episode, as the pilot has already been shot.
EW.com reported last month that Elizabeth Rodriguez from Orange Is The New Black has joined the show in a mysterious role. Guesses on who she might play?
Finally, these details about Season 6 of the main series come from the "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine:
"Question: Can you tell us anything about Season 6 of The Walking Dead? -Jabari
Ausiello: Yup. If the recurring character of Delvin turns out to be half as cool as his casting notice makes him out to be, I have a new hero (and you likely do, too). According to the breakdown for the role, the twentysomething African-American cynic is left so dumbfounded by displays of stupidity that it's nearly impossible for him to admit that he thinks, down deep, people are - or at least can be - decent. Even if they're idiots. (I love him already.) "
