As IGN points out, Ubisoft has officially distanced itself from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases for its main AC titles. This allows for new features for gamers, which includes two main, playable characters. Twins Jacob and Evie Frye will be our weapons this time around, during one of the biggest Industrial Revolutions in history. This era shapes the gameplay and the combat, too.
Ubisoft describes these characters in a recent blog post, calling Jacob "more hot headed, brash and rebellious" as compared to Evie, "a relentless Assassin" and "a master of stealth." These two lead a gang called the Rooks, the members of which act as an army at the gamers' beckon call.
"Jacob and Evie represent a different side of the English persona," Ubisoft Quebec's Creative Director Marc-Alexis Cote said in this blog post. "Jacob is a charismatic brawler. He's going to be the leader of London's criminal underworld. Evie is much stealthier. She's really, really intelligent and witty. One of the things I really like about our two characters is how they bounce off each other."
