Dennis Quaid, Wife Kimberly Buffington Divorce: Reason Why The Two Split, Seeking Joint Custody of Children
This is going to be the third divorce for Dennis Quaid. His wife of 8 years, Kimberly Buffington, has filed for divorce back in March 2012 but later changed her decision and filed for legal separation instead. This time Quaid filed for divorce on December 1, TMZ reported. The two have been on the rocks for some time and it was only a matter of time that the two would split.
When Buffington first filed for divorce in March, the reason she filed was released in the petition retrieved by TMZ. "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities ... that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
They have 4-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe, who almost died from an overdose of the drug Heparin given by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center medical staff after birth.
According to TMZ, "Quaid is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple's 4-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe. He is also offering to pay spousal support."
Quaid was once married to actress Meg Ryan and P.J. Soles.
