David Ramsey Teases Mask for Diggle in Arrow Season 4
The Season 3 finale of Arrow featured some shocking moments, but one of the quieter ones was a conversation between Oliver and Diggle in which the former implored the latter to keep fighting crime, but to wear a mask while doing so.
Diggle's lack of facial covering has been a sore spot for many fans, who find it absurd that the former soldier just runs around shooting people without hiding his identity. But could that change in Season 4? Actor David Ramsey addressed that possibility.
"I do think you need some kind of concealment," he told ComicBook.com. "And to that end, they are working on something. You will see something for Diggle next year, season 4. You will."
Does this mean that Diggle will actually become Green Lantern? Recall what Ramsey said earlier this year when people brought up the idea of Diggle as the Green Lantern named John Stewart:
"Everyone wants to talk about John Stewart. Is it 'John Stewart Diggle' or 'John Diggle Stewart' or whatever, and will he be Green Lantern? Marc Guggenheim has said publicly that it’s not the way to go right now. But people are still talking about it... I think they’ve taken great strides to making John Diggle part of the lexicon, and that’s an important thing. I don’t think you want to abandon that... I think there’s something very normal about him that’s part of the appeal. I think if you put a mask on him as part of the Green Lantern Corps, and that’s wonderful by the way – John Stewart is a wonderful character – but you lose some of that. You lose part of the 'everyguy' character."
In other news, the CW has released an official trailer for the spinoff series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Check it out below:
We also know the show will premiere as part of the network's midseason lineup, and we know the CW has ordered it to series. And it sounds like the show will be epic in scope based on the official description:
"When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen a future he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat -- one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they've ever known?"
