Lindsay Lohan Fleeing Arrest, Community Service & Heading to Monaco?
Lindsay Lohan heading to community service for a crime that only Lindsay Lohan can commit has been in the news for the last few weeks. Once again, she raised controversy by swerving passed jail time and landing the type of punishment some would consider a slap on the wrist. Well, in honor of that slap on the wrist, Lohan vowed to flee the country and go to Monaco if officials threaten her with an actually sentence such as jail time. Once that court ordered May 28 deadline rolls around Lohan hopes to be out of the United States.
More importantly, her delicate wrists won't feel the cold touch of cuffs.
Lohan says she'll be staying in a hotel owned by a very rich friend in order to avoid an arrest. This friend says she has carte blanche to stay at the hotel indefinitely. So yeah, if you expected Lohan to write some sort of memoir, tattoo her face or convert to Islam then you have another thing coming. Cushy days are ahead of the actress no matter what.
Lohan, 26, was booked on reckless driving charges back in 2010. After five years it seems like a miracle enough that the case actually reached some sort of conclusion – even if it's a minor one the likes of community service. The woman suing Lohan is a California resident named Nubia Del Carmen Plaza.
Plaza claims Lohan ran her down while she was pushing a baby stroller. The alleged hit took place in an intersection in West Hollywood. Eyewitnesses say Lohan ran a red light, slowly nipped the woman with her Maserati and then drove away.
Plaza says she would like to be compensated for serious personal injuries, pain, suffering, anguish and a loss of wages due to missing work.
