Lady Gaga has bought 55 of King of Pop, Michael Jackson's private collection at an auction. She was one of the winning bidders. The auction was held in Beverly Hills, California.

Lady Gaga is known for being fashion-obsessed and has picked several items belonging to Michael Jackson from the sale that was administered by Julien's Auctions.

She posted a photo of her paddle and herself at the auction and Tweeted, "The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide"

The auction was put up by Dennis Thompkins and Michael Bush, Jackson's costume designer and close friend for 25 years.

Many Jackson fans were unhappy with Bush for auctioning off Jackson's costumes that were worn by the King of Pop throughout his career.

"We have already lost forever all of the irreplaceable and one-of-a-kind Michael Jackson items that have already been sold during the nine auctions since his murder! If we don't stop this now, there will not be anything left for his beloved children or a Michael Jackson Museum in the future!" posted one fan at teammichaeljackson.com.

Darren Julien, auctioneer said that the jacket Jackson wore during "Bad" tour fetched $240,000. Other items included the two crystal-studded gloves that fetched more than $100,000.

The auction raised more than $5 million. It was reported that some of the proceeds will be given to Guide Dogs of America and Nathan Adelson Hospice of Las Vegas.

Lady Gaga was supposed to open for Jackson on his comeback tour "This is it," in 2010.

Jackson, 50 died in June 2009. His doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for Jackson's death.
