Kanye West Inspired Role Playing Game Starring Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Dr. Dre Cult Exists

In 2013, an unofficial RPG titled Kanye Quest starred none other than Kanye West himself. In the game, West takes out the trash and finds himself getting sucked through a wormhole that transports him to the future. Along the way, he meets Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Tupac and has a confrontation with fellow rapper, Lil' B. The game fell by the wayside a little after its development but it recently rose from the Internet dead after one player discovered this particular RPG has a dark cultish twist to it that may be more tortured than Mr. West himself.

You can check out footage of Kanye Quest right here. It's worth playing if things such as not reading and being a guy who sits down to pee are all a part of your daily routine.

The user who discovered Kanye Quest's dark secret created a Pastebin detailing his fall into a gaming rabbit hole. It all started when the player accessed a computer that said "ASCEND" and "WORSHIP THE BASED GOD." This message becomes crucial later in the game when users encounters a woman who asks Kanye what he would like to do.

Normally, players put in anything and go about their business, but when the one particular user put in the word "ascend," he was transported to a whole new sector of Kanye Quest; one previously unknown to other players. This is when things get weird.

After writing the code, West gets transported to a gray area with a single butterfly. Along with the butterfly, players are treated to a message. (Via Kotaku)

"We must apologize for deceiving you, but we can reveal that the game you were playing until this point was a 'front' constructed to protect what you are currently accessing. We must ask that you do not reveal this area to the public. If you believe that you may be prone to revealing information, or do not wish to participate, please close this program immediately by pressing ALT-F4 or selecting the NO option when it appears. By selecting the YES option, you agree to participate and not reveal information."

After investigating the grey room, the game reveals itself as a recruitment tool for a cult called Ascension. Apparently the cult was created in 2006. The game goes on to explain the cult is against cloning as it "splits the soul" and a person can never truly die until all their clones are dead. Madness comes to those who play Kanye Quest. "They believe that if a soul lives on for too long, it becomes corrupted by the bad circumstances it has accumulated and will become evil and twisted over time because they cannot be purged of their experiences by death to start anew," Kanye Quest explains. They believe that souls that become evil and are wandering from clone to clone are the "shadow people" that people see in the corners of their eyes. According to them, there is some ancient group of 9 people or so who have lived for centuries by cloning themselves repeatedly and indefinitely, and their clones are what constitute the majority of the "shadow people" seen today."

In other words, it's the Ra's Al Ghul story in Batman.
