'Grey's Anatomy' [SPOILERS]: Patrick Dempsey Fired, Shonda Rhimes Bans Staff From Affair Talk

Patrick Dempsey can't seem to catch a break these days. Not only was the star fired from Grey's Anatomy last month, but he is also in the middle of selling his house and getting a divorce from his wife Jillian Fink. To make matters worse, it seems that the star is now in the middle of a cheating scandal, as affair rumors from the set have been making their way around the Internet. While it would explain his tragic exit from the series, it seems that we may never know if this is the real reason that he was killed off the series, as creator Shonda Rhimes has put a gag order on her cast and crew, forbidding them from talking about the alleged infidelity.

That's right – Radar Online is reporting that the big boss has forbid the gang behind the ABC medical drama from talking about the incident.

“Shonda was very unhappy to learn Patrick’s affair with a Grey’s Anatomy staff member had been made public,” an insider explained to the news site. “Suspecting it was individuals from the cast and crew, she sent a stern reminder via email that anyone caught leaking information to the press would be fired immediately. The cast and crew all have signed non-disclosure agreements, prohibiting any details from their employment being discussed publicly.”

However, while Patrick and his former boss might not be on the best of terms, it seems that she still has his best interests at heart, according to OK Magazine. We mean, they did work together for eleven years, after all.

“Even though Patrick and Shonda are obviously not on the best terms, she doesn’t want to see his name dragged through the mud,” the insider explained.
