Jackie Chan Dead 2015? Death Hoax Denied on Twitter/Facebook AGAIN, 'Don't Worry Still Alive' After Fake Heart Attack Scare
Over the weekend, martial art superstar Jackie Chan had to prove that he's still alive and breathing - again.
The infamous "celebrity death hoax" continues taking Chan as a cyber victim. And at this point, the 61-year-old actor is simply tired of such morbid rumors. On Saturday (May 16), Chan tweeted this official Facebook update:
@EyeOfJackieChan: "I was shocked by two news reports when I got off the plane. First of all, don't worry! I'm still alive. Second, don't believe the scam on Weibo using my name about the Red Pockets... This is my official Facebook page and I only have 1 official Weibo page. Love you all!"
The post already garnered more than 71,000 "likes" and counting. Fans continue offering their support on social media - it gets tough when the internet keeps killing-off one of Hollywood's most beloved stars!
Holardipo Ayomide: "happy to hear that... love you Jackie."
Bela Tort Spot: "I was going to cry. I love you Jackie Chan."
Dijana Mo: "Why do the media people do such a dumb thing?"
Lynn Naing Oo: "oh my god what a terrible news... wish you be long [life and] live happy forever."
Kyaw Khine: "so happy to hear that - you'll be my hero forever, be healthy."
The latest hoax surrounding Chan's "sudden passing" was originally posted on cnminformativo.com on Friday (May 15). This shocking headline sparked the initial panic:
The image almost looks legit, with NBC broadcaster Brian Williams allegedly reporting the sad news. Chan's wife Lin Feng-jiao is falsely quoted as saying:
"I hope you can understand my loss, and I would appreciate if you can give us space for our mourning."
Back in September/October 2013, Chan suffered a similar tragic fate, that was obviously bogus. He quickly squashed those seedy rumors, too.
So the "Rush Hour" legend still lives on!
