Alfonso Ribeiro To Host ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’ Following ‘DWTS’ Season 19 Win

It looks like actor Alfonso Ribeiro is finally shedding himself the shadow of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The talent recently nabbed the title of winner of ABC's Dancing with the Stars Season 19 and now he's reportedly got a new gig on the network: hosting America's Funniest Home Videos. That's right– step aside, Tom Bergeron... Carlton Banks is in!

Via a press release, it was announced on the finale of Dancing with the Stars that the actor will be taking the host spot. In a statement from AFV creator/executive producer Vin Di Bona, "After receiving hundreds of inquiries, stacks of video submissions and a very close audition race, one smile, funny and sincere delivery became our standout favorite – Alfonso Ribeiro."

Furthermore, Bona notes that the network is excited to have him on board and "look forward to Alfonso leading AFV into the next generation of family friendly viewership."
