R&B songstress Toni Braxton found herself in an L.A. hospital on Monday (Dec. 3) to treat "minor health issues." According to reports, the 45-year-old Grammy Award winner was hospitalized for a lupus flare-up and blood clots. Braxton took to Twitter on Friday to let fans know her ongoing battle with lupus won't keep her down and that she plans on being discharged from the hospital soon.

Braxton tweeted this positive message from the L.A. medical facility on Friday (Dec. 7):

@tonibraxton: "Hey guys, I'm in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots, I will be home soon...Thanks for all the love&support! Xoxo."

The "Un-break My Heart" songstress revealed to the public two years ago that she has Lupus, a potentially deadly autoimmune disease - the same condition that killed Braxton's uncle. Braxton was hospitalized earlier this year for complications related to her ailment. She also suffers from a narrowing of the blood vessels in her heart.

Braxton admitted in a recent "20/20" interview that doctors assume her singing career might be cut short by the potentially deadly condition. The disease also led to other struggles, including her recent bankruptcy.

Braxton remains positive and upbeat about the improvement of her condition, and hopes that one day with time and advanced funding, doctors may find a means of helping people live longer and healthier lives who suffer from lupus.
