Red Bulls coach Jesse Marsch spoke to the media about his team's recent loss to the Philadelphia Union, which sets them up for a hopeful rebound today.
"We were able to be on top of the game from almost every level for 57 minutes," Marsch said earlier in the week, according to the team's official website. "If you look at the overall impact that we have on every game, it's pretty strong. It's a pretty strong grasp, so, you know, it's just a matter of turning that grasp into more goals and more wins."

Meanwhile, Sounders sit atop their division standings, which coach Sigi Shmid commented on ahead of today's match.
"We talked before the game about the fact that if we win this game, we go the top of the table, we'll be one of the top scoring teams in the league, and if we get a shutout, we'll be the top defensive team in the league," Schmid said, according to CBS Seattle. "Just 12 games in, those are good benchmarks."
