'Halt And Catch Fire' Season 2 Spoilers: Is Lee Pace's Joe MacMillan "Nothing" Without Gordon?
AMC jumps into the gaming world with the Season 2 premiere of Halt And Catch Fire. After the team split up during the first season finale, will Joe MacMillan (Lee Pace) realize he's actually "nothing" without the help of Gordon (Scoot McNairy) and Cameron (Mackenzie Davis)?
In an interview with TV Guide, co-creator Christopher C. Rogers revealed his plans for the sophomore season, "I think the best shows manage to bring you a sense of closure, but also return you to this feeling of, 'This is just a chapter in a larger story.' We certainly didn't see this as the end. There's a lot more to come from these characters, and we're hoping that we get to tell that story.'"
During the first season finale, Joe (Pace), Gordon (McNairy), and Cameron (Davis), ended up squashing their dreams as they made a faster and cheaper IBM knockoff.Gordon's wife went with Cameron to start their gaming company. Joe ditched his job and went off a road trip, citing everyone behind.
In an interview with IGN, Pace describes how Joe sees Cameron's gaming world, ""I think they'll always be tied. This building's computer in Texas and this funny summer where they hated each other and stayed up all night and sold it, it ties for them for life."
The Pushing Daisies actor adds, "So even if they're not in the same room, I know Joe is -- I know there are scenes in this first episode where I'm thinking, 'Where are they? What are they doing? What is Gordon up to right now? I bet it's cool. I wonder if I should be a part of it. I wonder if he would want to see me again after everything that happened. Cameron... I'm nothing without them. If I don't have them, what do I got? Nothing.'"
